Biography
Mae is an ATOD Jazz certified instructor with over 15 years of dance teaching experience. Her Jazz students have consistently excelled in competitions, securing top placements at Get The Beat and earning medals at the ATOD Thailand International Dance Competition.
During her three years in New York City, Mae refined her expertise in Broadway Jazz, training at prestigious institutions such as Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway.
Mae’s extensive dance and movement background includes Ballet, Rhythmic Gymnastics, and Yoga. She trained under Ms. Lena Foo, achieving RAD Advanced 1 with a consistent record of Distinctions. Her leadership in dance extended through her academic years, serving as dance captain for Raffles Junior College Modern Dance and NTU Contemporary Dance.
As a former national gold medalist in Rhythmic Gymnastics, Mae trained intensively for nearly a decade under a coach from China’s Olympic team. This experience gives her a strong foundation in strength and conditioning, which she seamlessly incorporates into her dance training to enhance flexibility, stability, and technique.
In 2022, she became a certified Yoga Instructor, integrating breathwork and mindfulness into her teaching approach.
Mae is passionate about nurturing dancers at all levels, blending athleticism with artistry in her classes. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes functional movement, creative expression, and a deep love for dance—empowering students to grow both technically and artistically.
